The board of directors of Imperial Oil Limited has adopted corporate governance guidelines to promote the effective functioning of the board and its committees.
Imperial's eight-person board of directors is responsible for the overall management of the company. Five independent directors and three non-independent directors bring diversified backgrounds and experience to the board. Imperial's senior management team also has extensive experience within the company and the petroleum industry.
