New and improved Esso Avitat opens at Toronto International Airport

Toronto, ON, November 29, 2001
Imperial Oil and Skyservice FBO Inc. today announced the opening of a new and even further improved Esso Avitat aviation service facility at Toronto International Airport. Esso Avitat facilities provide a wide range of services to corporate and private aircraft at 11 major airports across Canada.

Operated by Skyservice, which was named the number-one fixed-base aviation operations provider in Canada by the Professional Pilot Survey, for the sixth year in a row, the new Toronto Avitat is conveniently located at 6120 Midfield Road, now centrally located with superior access to the airport's northwest runway. Continuing to be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, it offers spacious pilot and passenger lounges, comfortable crew rest areas, food catering services, conference and flight-planning rooms and rental-car, limousine and courtesy-car availability, fuelling, de-icing, ground-handling and maintenance services, along with 90,000 square feet of hangar space.

"With our new central location at the airport and short travel time of 20 to 30 minutes from downtown Toronto, we believe that pilots, their passengers and aircraft will benefit from improved efficiency as well as the variety and quality of offerings from the Toronto Avitat," said Caprice Chow, manager, aviation. "We're committed to providing our customers with the best service and facilities possible -- there's no such thing as a minor detail to us."

Imperial Oil's Esso aviation fuels marketing group offers quality aviation fuels through a network of approximately 100 conveniently located sites across Canada, including eleven Avitat full-service facilities. This new facility builds on Imperial Oil's aviation heritage, including the opening of the first Avitat facility in the world at Montreal's Dorval Airport in November 1968.
