Mobil 1 selected as factory fill motor oil for newly launched 2007 Acura RDX

Imperial Oil today announced that Mobil 1 has been selected as the factory
fill motor oil for the new 2007 Acura RDX luxury SUV.
Acura
selected Mobil 1, the world's best selling synthetic motor oil, to meet the
unique lubrication demands of the first-ever Acura turbocharged and
inter-cooled engine. Due to its high-temperature oxidation stability and
ability to prevent deposits from building on critical turbocharger and engine
components, Mobil 1 will provide maximum protection for the high-performance
RDX.
Recently, Honda Motor Co. Ltd., parent company of Acura
Automobiles, developed a tough new standard for motor oil used in their
vehicle engines. Known as HT0-06, the new standard ensures that the motor oil
in every new RDX engine provides maximum protection. Mobil 1 outperformed its
competitors and received the highest rating of all oils tested.
Acura recommends that RDX owners always use an oil that meets the Acura HT0-06
standard. Not all synthetic oils meet the new Acura standard, and using the
wrong oil in a high-performance turbocharged engine can lead to accumulated
deposits in the engine, which reduces performance and causes engine wear.
