We currently have the following opportunity available in our Norman Wells operating area. Norman Wells is a northern community located between the Mackenzie and Franklin mountain ranges on the Mackenzie River. The Norman Wells operation is a 3000 m3/d conventional oilfield consisting of a Central Processing Facility, and 352 production and injection wells.
These are live-in positions. Relocation assistance, if required, will be offered to successful candidates. Competitive wages, northern benefit packages apply, including generous housing and vehicle benefits, as well as Northern Region Area allowances.
As a Journeyman Instrumentation Technician/Mechanic, you will be part of a group of skilled trades people who carry out Instrumentation work in the Norman Wells Plant and Field. Your responsibilities will include carrying out planned maintenance on end devices, gas detection systems, meter calibrations, and troubleshooting and repairing instrument problems in the Norman Wells area. This is a small team atmosphere; you’ll be working closely with operations and maintenance groups.
Minimum education requirements are a high school diploma and a valid Instrument Mechanic Journeyman ticket or Instrument Technology diploma.
