based on the weather conditions

When your fuel supply needs to be replenished, we make a delivery automatically

Fuel in Halifax has slightly different properties than fuel that is sold in
Toronto? While the properties of the product may differ, Esso takes steps to
ensure that our product meets our high standards for product quality that will
keep you equipment working safely and reliably.

A common misconception for many people is that furnace oil is black - it's
actually light pink. It's also non-explosive - many people would be surprised
to find that a match isn't hot enough to ignite furnace oil.

No heat checklist
-
Should your furnace stop working, check the following before calling for
service:
-
First, raise the thermostat to 30ºC or raise the thermostat 5ºC above the
current room temperature.

Make sure the master burner switch is in the ON position.
-
Check the fuse boxes for blown fuses or circuit panel for tripped circuits.
Use only replacement fuses of the correct amperage.

Check the oil tank gauge.
-
Make sure the tank valve is open.
-
Press the RELAY RESET button on the relay box (usually mounted on furnace
wall, burner or smoke pipe). PRESS ONCE ONLY. DO NOT PRESS A SECOND TIME.

After resetting the relay, if you hear a "buzz" or "hum" from the burner,
press the OVERLOAD button on the oil burner motor to start again.

If you're out of fuel oil, please call Esso at 1-866-749-ESSO (3776) If
there's still a technical problem with your furnace, please call Sears
HomeCentral at 1-800-4-MY-HOME (1-800-469-4663).
