| | Supporting our employees and annuitants who get involved
"The volunteer involvement program represents the company's respect for and support of volunteerism." - Monica Samper, president, Imperial Oil Foundation.
 | | | | Whether volunteering for the local fire department, coaching sports teams, raising funds for charities or serving in other ways, our employees volunteer their time and energy to many community initiatives.
| Imperial's volunteer involvement program was established in 1990 as a means to encourage, recognize and support current employees, annuitants, and other eligible participants in actively contributing their time and talent to charitable organizations by providing contributions on their behalf.
Over the years, the program has received requests for grants to purchase all manner of equipment and supplies for projects. In the past five years, the company has donated more than $840,000 to be used for a variety of causes ranging from landscaping the grounds at a senior citizens residence to buying hand-held radios for volunteer firefighters. Donation: We distribute about $300,000 each year through the Volunteer Involvement Program.
